The Constitutional Court reviews the compliance with the Constitution of regulatory legal provisions affecting the rights and freedoms of individuals and citizens.

Decisions of the Constitutional Court are binding and affect the subsequent application of the relevant provisions of laws and other regulatory legal acts.

The types of regulatory legal acts are established by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Legal Acts” (Article 7).
