A gala concert titled "Happy City Day, Kyzylorda!" took place at the Kaisar Arena stadium on the left bank of Kyzylorda to celebrate the city's anniversary. The festive program opened with a thematic prologue dedicated to the regional center's two-century history and its modern development.
Murat Ergeshbayev, the Akim of the Kyzylorda Region, congratulated residents on the holiday and highlighted the region's achievements.
President Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly has noted that the Kyzylorda region holds a special place in the history of our people. The presence of ancient settlements such as Chirik-Rabat, Zhankent, and Syganak testifies to the fact that a developed urban civilization existed on Kazakh soil in ancient times, and Kyzylorda represents its direct continuation.
"The ongoing renewal and improvement of our city represent a continuation of this historical legacy. In recent years, social and engineering infrastructure has been modernized, modern facilities have been commissioned, and major investment projects have been implemented. Nurlybek Mashbekovich—who made a significant contribution to Kyzylorda’s prosperity and now serves as First Deputy Prime Minister—congratulates you on City Day and sends his warmest wishes.
May our beloved city continue to flourish, and may Kyzylorda’s future be bright and prosperous!"- said Murat Ergeshbayev.
Renowned Kazakh artists—including Indira Elubayeva, Kazybek Kurayysh, Ukitay Erniyazov, Balzhan Bidash, the group KeshYOU, and ALEM—performed at the concert. The festive evening concluded with a fireworks display.
In recent years, Kyzylorda has seen active infrastructure development, the launch of new manufacturing facilities, and the construction of residential buildings and social amenities. This year, the Inclusive Sports Center, the House of Friendship, the Competence Center, the "Ai-Kerim" educational and health center, and the Botanical Garden have been put into operation.
Construction continues on the Presidential Library, the drama theater, and major medical facilities. A road bridge connecting the city's left-bank area and a modern pedestrian bridge are currently under construction. Work has also begun on a water park near Presidential Park.
The "Kyzylorda Arena" sports complex is scheduled to open before the end of the year.
