45 violators of the legislation on citizenship have been brought to justice by the police in North Kazakhstan Region since the beginning of the year.
The police strongly recommend to remember: dual citizenship is prohibited in the Republic of Kazakhstan. When changing citizenship, it is necessary to resolve property and other issues in a timely manner, do not try to use the documents of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the future — they must be submitted in accordance with the established procedure.
Meanwhile, in nine months in the North Kazakhstan region, 23 people, having already lost their citizenship, used old documents. According to Article 496 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, they had to pay a large fine.
Another 22 people, having taken citizenship of another country, did not report it within 30 days. Strict liability is also provided for this: from a large fine to administrative expulsion from Kazakhstan.
The staff of the Department of Migration Service of the DP of the North Kazakhstan Region convincingly ask people who have decided to change their citizenship to consult on all issues and not lose sight of the responsibilities that this process imposes.
