Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Karabayev met with representatives of the French transport and logistics company CMA CGM, one of the world's largest maritime transport operators.

During the meeting, key projects aimed at developing Kazakhstan's maritime infrastructure in the Caspian Sea were discussed. They also discussed the purchase of container ships and ferries to increase cargo traffic along international transport corridors.

In addition, the French company expressed its intention to implement a project aimed at developing local shipbuilding and repair facilities.

The parties agreed to continue discussing these projects with a view to their further implementation, which will significantly strengthen Kazakhstan's maritime infrastructure and its position as a key transit hub in the region.
