This year, a record 580 billion tenge was allocated for concessional financing of agriculture, which were transferred to farmers for direct lending, cheaper interest rates and forward purchase.
As a result, the agrarians of the republic harvested a record harvest of grain crops — with an average yield of 16.1 c/ha, 26.7 million tons of grain were harvested. For comparison, in 2023, the average yield was 10 kg/ha. 3.2 million tons of oilseeds with a yield of 10.9 c/ha were also harvested, 2.9 million tons of potatoes, 3.9 million tons of vegetables and 2.6 million tons of melons were harvested. High yields were achieved, among other things, due to the correct application of agricultural technologies, high-quality seeds, mineral fertilizers and effective plant protection.
In the future, work will continue on crop diversification. As part of the Roadmap for the execution of the President's instructions, the task has been set to double the volume of gross agricultural output in 2024-2028. In general, within the framework of the Concept of development of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2021-2030, it is planned to increase wheat yield to 20 kg/ha by 2030. It should be noted that, on behalf of the Head of State, financing of spring field and harvesting operations in 2025 has already begun this year.
