Kazakhstan and Qatar strengthen cooperation in the fight against crime: Intergovernmental agreement signed

A delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by Minister Yerzhan Sadenov paid a visit to Doha (Qatar).
During the visit, a meeting was held with the Minister of the Interior of Qatar, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in the fight against crime, including countering organized forms of crime, drug trafficking, extremism, cybercrime, as well as cooperation in the field of tracing individuals and sharing best practices.
The main result of the visit was the signing of an Intergovernmental agreement on Cooperation in the fight against Crime, which took place on the sidelines of the 15th International Security Exhibition “MILIPOL QATAR – 2024".
This agreement opens a new stage of Kazakh-Qatari relations in the law enforcement sphere, forming a legal basis for in-depth cooperation and coordination of efforts in the field of security.
