A large-scale reconstruction of the main heating networks continues in Balkhash. And work is also underway to update the intra-main and intra-block heating networks. 25 km have been repaired this year. Thus, network wear in the city has been reduced from 75% to 65%.
The modernization will improve the quality of heat supply and increase the pressure in the system. This is especially important for remote areas of the city.
Governor of Karaganda region Yermaganbet Bulekpayev was informed about what has been done in this direction during a working trip to Balkhash.
Mayor Sapar Satayev also spoke about the repair of water supply and sewerage networks. For example, 320 meters of water supply were replaced in the 90th quarter of the city. Preparatory work is underway to replace pipes on 8 March Street with a length of 850 m. Work is also continuing in the direction of the Tokrau – Sayak water pipeline: 72 km of emergency sections have been replaced out of 160 km to date. There are plans to upgrade about 20 km of this water pipeline next year, which will solve the problem of water supply interruptions.
Ermaganbet Bulekpaev also stopped by the city embankment, examined how the landscaping works were progressing.
The project is divided into two phases: the first is 80% complete and includes the construction of a pedestrian fountain, landscaping and installation of lighting.
The second stage provides for the construction of sports areas with exercise equipment and a skatepark, playgrounds and recreation areas.
There will also be an unusual complex of seven fountains in the form of boats with sails on the embankment.
The project should also include landscaping of the territory, installation of small architectural forms and creation of bicycle infrastructure.
The head of the region listened to the reports of the contractors and instructed them to carry out all work in accordance with the project and keep up with the planned deadlines.
