A new fire station will open in Temirtau
16.11.2024 18:18:03 2343A new fire station will be built in Temirtau. Its necessity has been long overdue. The issue was resolved with the support of the regional akimat.
Funds were allocated for the overhaul of the building of the former fire station. The work is being completed.
Akim of the Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev visited the facility and looked at what conditions were provided for rescuers.
Modernization will not only improve the technical equipment, but also create comfort for employees.
The building has three floors. On the first and second floors there are administrative and household premises, a garage for parking fire trucks. And on the third floor there are apartments for personnel and their families.
The old facade was faded. After the renovation, it has become bright and modern. Linear panels were used for the reconstruction.
Inside the room, it remains to mount the doors and install furniture.
There is a training tower designed to train firefighters and rescuers.
The opening of an additional fire station will increase the responsiveness of rescuers. Given the proximity to the republican highway, employees will be able to quickly go to help people who find themselves in a difficult situation on the road.
– The fire station has two units of mobile equipment. After commissioning, it will serve six microdistricts and the Yekaterinburg – Almaty highway, where assistance will be provided in case of accidents and emergencies on the road," said Margulan Amanbayev, head of the Emergency Department of the Karaganda region.
Ermaganbet Bulekpayev also looked at how the overhaul of Metallurgov Avenue is progressing in Temirtau. The reconstruction of one of the main transport arteries of the city was undertaken for the first time in half a century. The project is two-year. A range of works is provided: replacement of the roadway, new sidewalks, improvement of the boulevard area. The problem with the storm sewer system will be solved. Bike paths, playgrounds and sports areas are planned, including adapted playgrounds for people with disabilities.
The length of the avenue is about three kilometers on both sides.
As of today, work has been completed on the odd side from Republic Avenue to Abai Street. It remains to apply road markings to improve traffic safety, and this section will be ready to open.
Asphalting of the second section is already underway. Work on the even-numbered side and on the section from Mira Avenue to Amangeldy Street will continue next spring.
