Temirtau hosts the international judo tournament

The XXIII International Judo Tournament "Lights of Magnitogorsk", dedicated to the memory of the Honored coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan Amantai Aidarkhanov, has started in Temirtau. Athletes from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan participate in the competition. More than 20 teams will represent almost 700 boys and girls born in 2008-2009.
The tournament will be held over four days at the Qarmet Sports Complex. Individual championships will be held from October 29 to 31, and team competitions will be held on November 1. Everyone is welcome to come and support the participants.
The winners will be awarded with medals, souvenirs, letters of thanks and cash prizes. At the end of the tournament, a training camp is planned, where every judoka will be able to gain valuable international experience.
The tournament "Lights of Magnitogorsk" also plays an important role in the preparation of judoists for the national championship.
The organizers of the competition are Temirtau Akimat, Qarmet company, the Judo Wrestling Federation of the Karaganda region and the Jenyc professional club.
