Shopkeepers were punished for selling naswai and snus in the Nura district of the capital

The akimat of the Nura district, together with the city Police Department, conducted another raid to identify cases of illegal sale of nasvai and snus, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
During the raid, the monitoring group checked business facilities located in large residential complexes in the Nura district. As a result of the raid, nasvai and snus were found in three stores.
Police officers seized about 40 packs of naswai and 20 packs of snus for a total amount of 25 thousand tenge. The shopkeepers were brought to administrative responsibility and fined 92,300 tenge (25 MCI) in accordance with Article 196 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"We strive to limit the access of young people to these products, adhering to the principles of preventing bad habits. Strict liability measures are provided for violations, including heavy fines. I want to remind entrepreneurs: compliance with the ban on the sale of vapes, naswai and snus is not only a requirement of the law, but also a moral responsibility to society. Such monitoring activities are carried out regularly in the Nura area. Since the beginning of the year, about 230 stores have been checked, and we will continue this work," said the chief specialist of the entrepreneurship department of the office of the mayor of the capital district Nur Batyrkhan Dzhanpeisov.
Raids to identify violations are aimed at preventing bad habits among young people and increasing the responsibility of entrepreneurs for compliance with the law.
During the event, preventive explanatory work with store sellers was checked and carried out, they are carried out on an ongoing basis in all districts of Astana.
