The 16th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity is taking place in Cali (Colombia), where representatives of more than 190 countries gathered. Kazakhstan is represented by Nurken Sharbiev, Vice Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources. In his speech, the Vice Minister confirmed Kazakhstan's commitment to the goals of the Global Framework Program on Biodiversity and presented national measures for nature protection.
N.Sharbiyev participated in ministerial dialogues and the United Water Summit, organized by France, Kazakhstan and other partners to strengthen international efforts to protect freshwater.
On the sidelines of the conference, the Vice Minister held meetings with key international partners to discuss joint environmental projects.
