More than 200 kilometers of canals were cleaned mechanically in the Zhetisu region. This was announced at a briefing by the regional communications service by the director of the regional branch of Kazvodkhoz, Sayat Kudaibergenov.
In addition, 22 hydraulic structures and 21 hydrometric posts were repaired. Reconstruction of irrigation networks has begun in the Koksu area. The branch develops design and estimate documentation for the reconstruction of water nodes at the Almaly, Akeshki, Ashybulak reservoirs and the Tentek, Bien rivers, as well as the Ushtobe main canal.
"This year, the irrigation season in the region was successful. At the request of agricultural producers, 1.37 billion cubic meters of water were supplied. Almost 130 thousand hectares of agricultural land were watered. Today, the branch is carrying out preparatory work for the growing season next year," said Sayat Kudaibergenov.
