THE MINISTER HELD A PERSONAL RECEPTION FOR CITIZENS
Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek held a personal reception of citizens, during which he listened to questions and suggestions on issues in the field of education and science. The Chairman of the Committee on Higher and Postgraduate Education, G.Kobenova, was also present at the reception.
During the meeting with citizens, issues of obtaining higher education, expanding educational opportunities, supporting citizens with special needs, as well as financing scientific research were discussed. In addition, the participants of the reception touched upon such topics as the procedure for obtaining a second higher education, support measures for citizens with special needs, admission rules for creative specialties and doctoral studies.
One of the citizens present at the reception expressed interest in clarifying the possibilities of obtaining a second higher education and ways to finance it. He asked questions about the support programs provided by the state, benefits, as well as distance learning opportunities for second higher education. During the discussion, issues related to the admission of people with disabilities to higher education institutions and measures to reduce barriers in the educational process were also discussed in detail. The participants also asked to provide full information about the new requirements and changes in the exams for admission to creative specialties.
Citizens were interested in the order of distribution of additional educational grants, the conditions for their receipt, as well as the purpose of grants. In addition, they expressed interest in a possible increase in the number of grants.
Minister Sayasat Nurbek listened attentively to the questions and suggestions of citizens and gave explanations on each issue on a legal basis. The head of the department instructed the heads of industry departments to take into account the suggestions of citizens and take measures to resolve and improve the issues under discussion.
