Employees of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Almaty district of the capital's emergency Department conduct rounds of apartment buildings in order to prevent fires, the official website of the Akimat of Astana reports.
So, firefighters organized a preventive event in an apartment complex located at 36/2 Shakarim Kudaiberdyuly Avenue. In addition to rescuers, representatives of the district akimat and employees of the Almaty district Police Department took part in the bypass. During the campaign, experts examined the apartment building to identify fire safety deficiencies, checked the serviceability of fire protection systems, held a preventive conversation with residents who were handed memos.
"To date, there are 885 multi-apartment residential buildings in the Almaty region, which serve 128 organizations (KSK, LLP, IP, HBC) and 267 associations of property owners (AXIS). 255 houses have a height of more than 28 meters. In 2023, there were 204 such houses," said Senior Lieutenant of Civil Protection Dariya Baizulova, chief specialist of the UCHS of the Almaty district.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Astana, 89 cases of fire were registered in apartment buildings in the capital this year, and the main cause of fires is the human factor.
