On October 31, 1994, the Communications Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan was established by a directive of the Minister of Defense. On the occasion of the professional holiday – the Day of the Military Signalman, a solemn event was held at the National Military-Patriotic Center.
It was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, the Communications Department, the heads of communications of other troops and military formations, veterans of the Armed Forces, as well as representatives of civil communications organizations.
Deputy Defense Minister Darkhan Akhmediev congratulated the signalers on the significant date, who noted that equipping the communications troops with the latest systems and the introduction of advanced technologies are among the key priorities for the development of the troops.
– Communication is the foundation, the foundation of everything. Without it, the digital transformation of command and control in real time is impossible. Thanks to your activities, we are implementing initiatives and projects aimed at strengthening the country's defense capability, improving the quality of public services for citizens," he said.
Military signalmen have repeatedly confirmed their high professionalism and skill during the strategic exercises "Birlestik-2024", "Indestructible Brotherhood-2024", "Batyl toitarys-2024", "Aybalta-2024", "Beket-2024" and other events.
In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the signal troops, a number of signallers were rewarded with departmental medals "El Korgany" and "KR Karuli kushterin uzdigi", diplomas and commendations for their impeccable service and responsible approach to solving the tasks set.
Veterans who stood at the origins of the creation of the communications forces of the Armed Forces of the country also received letters of thanks on behalf of the Minister of Defense.
Retired Major General Mubarek Orynbekov shared his memories of that time, who noted the increased level of equipment for communications units. Having served in the army for more than forty years, the veteran wished the signalmen to work tirelessly to improve their professional level in order to meet the requirements of the time.
The solemn meeting ended with a festive concert prepared by the creative team of the National Military-Patriotic Center, as well as military personnel of the communications units of the capital's garrison.
