The TEEZ marketplace trade and logistics warehouse has started operating in Karaganda. In the future, 8 thousand new jobs will be created here, and small and medium-sized businesses will receive support.
During a live broadcast on Saryarqa TV channel, residents asked Ermaganbet Bulekpayev how the opening of the warehouse would affect the region's economy. The head of the region noted that local manufacturers and entrepreneurs will have access to modern warehouse services, which will significantly accelerate the delivery of goods and increase their competitiveness.
The warehouse already employs 300 people, and 200 more will be employed by the end of the year. In total, it is planned to create 8 thousand jobs here.
– In addition, the presence of a large logistics center in Karaganda may attract the attention of other investors and business structures. This will create a favorable investment climate and allow the development of new business areas, such as the creation of additional services and services related to logistics and trade. The region may become more attractive for startups and international companies, which will certainly lead to an increase in business activity," Ermaganbet Bulekpayev believes.
One of the key steps in strengthening international logistics will be the creation of a multimodal air hub on the basis of the Karaganda Sary-Arka airport. A Karaganda journalist asked the head of the region about the plans of the new investor.
– The airport includes a passenger terminal with a capacity of 2 million passengers per year, a cargo Cargo Terminal with the ability to handle up to 50 thousand tons of cargo per year. As part of the instruction of the Head of State, this year we began working on the issue of creating a multimodal air hub CargoHUB Karaganda on the basis of our airport. Along with this, there will be a subzone of the Saryarka special economic zone on the territory of the airport," Ermaganbet Bulekpayev said.
A roadmap has been developed aimed at increasing the volume of cargo transportation at Sary-Arka airport. This will be achieved through the creation of new enterprises on the territory of the air hub, which will receive tax and other preferences within the subzone of the Special Economic Zone. It is expected that the volume of cargo handled will grow from 15 to 200 thousand tons per year. Thanks to this, by 2030 it is planned to create about 2 thousand new jobs and increase tax revenues to the budget.
Today, the airport serves commercial cargo flights from Ecuador, the Netherlands, Belgium and Southeast Asia. In the future, an increase in technical landings of aircraft on the China – Europe –China route is expected. This will expand the airport's logistical capabilities and strengthen its status as an important transport hub.
