Within the framework of the international investment forum "TURKMENISTAN INVESTMENT AND TOURISM FORUM – 2024", Akim of Turkestan region Darkhan Satybaldy held meetings with foreign investors in the G2B format. The head of the region spoke about the investment potential of the region and stressed that every effective project of investors will be supported.
In total, about twenty meetings with investors were held. The Chinese investor proposed to open a factory for the production of elevators, noting the desire to start work in the Turkestan region after studying the market of Kazakhstan and neighboring countries. The next investor expressed his intention to open a production of carpets, curtains and wallpaper. Investors capable of producing competitive products at the international level will be provided with comprehensive support
support.
– We always support specific projects and initiatives aimed at creating jobs and increasing the production potential of the region. The President has the task of developing domestic production, supporting local producers and consuming their products. Therefore, first of all, preference will be given to the products of local factories and enterprises. We will consider the possibilities for the implementation of projects. We have special economic zones, industrial zones and industrial parks. We are ready to work together," Darkhan Satybaldy said.
At the meetings, projects were proposed for the production and export of beef and chicken meat, the opening of a workshop for the production of chicken feed, power generation, the creation of large musical fountains, light and shadow shows, as well as outdoor lighting of buildings. In addition, negotiations were held in such areas as construction, logistics, production of household goods and others.
It is worth noting that the volume of investments in fixed assets in the Turkestan region amounted to 972 billion tenge last year and approached a trillion. These indicators indicate the development of production in the region. Last year, 20 investment projects were fully implemented in the manufacturing industry, and new jobs were opened. Work on opening production facilities and attracting investments in the region will continue.
