The festival of national traditions "Sybaga", which lasted five days, has ended in Aktobe region. On the last day of the festival, Aktobe entrepreneurs distributed treats to almost 1,000 families raising special children, as well as representatives of vulnerable segments of society. Local agricultural organizations that participated in the action slaughtered cattle and distributed meat to families.
Each of those who supported those in need welcome the revival of the forgotten tradition of "Sybaga".
"Akimat of Aktobe region has been organizing a big project โ€“ the Sybaga festival of national traditions for a whole week since the beginning of December. Our traditions and heritage are glorified. Yesterday we slaughtered a camel to contribute to the festival. We will distribute the meat to the people. This is a special tradition of the Kazakh people from time immemorial," businessman Amantai Umbetai said.
Youth and volunteers also supported the action. They helped to put the meat divided into equal piles in special boxes with the inscription "Sybaga". The residents who received donations expressed their wishes for the continuation of the festival in the future.
"My wife is a disabled person of the first group, my daughter has a second group. I grew up in a Kazakh village. With the onset of autumn in November and December, neighbors begin to slaughter cattle and share meat with those in need. If in the villages this tradition is still adhered to, then in the cities it began to be forgotten. I think it would be very appropriate to continue the Kazakh traditions," said Orynbai Uteniyazov, a resident of the city.
The event, on the one hand, promoted Kazakh national traditions, and on the other, once again emphasized the importance of supporting weaker segments of the population.
