An acceleration meeting was held in Astana aimed at identifying key problems and barriers hindering the development of investment projects in the tourism sector. The participants of the event focused on developing recommendations for their elimination and creating conditions for the effective development of the industry.

The event was attended by representatives of government agencies, the quasi-public sector and business, including Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Kuantyrov, Chairman of the Committee of the Tourism Industry of MTS RK Nurtas Karipbayev, as well as heads of leading companies in the field of tourism and hospitality. The meeting also brought together experts and industry stakeholders.

During the meeting, the current measures of state support for business in the tourism sector, the dynamics of the industry and key indicators, including investment inflows and infrastructure development, as well as the main problematic issues in the implementation of investment projects were discussed.

The acceleration format allowed the participants not only to discuss existing challenges, but also to actively work in teams, generating ideas and offering practical solutions to increase the attractiveness of the tourism industry in Kazakhstan.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan has confirmed its commitment to open dialogues with business and stakeholders, as well as to continue working to create favorable conditions for the sustainable development of tourism in the country.
