Deputy Head of the Department of Justice of Astana city Bekbulat Columbayev summed up the results of work for 2024 at the site of the capital's RSC, presenting a detailed report on the results of the activities of key departments. The focus is on the successful execution of executive documents, work with debts of individuals and legal entities, as well as the protection of intellectual property rights, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
In 2024, the department executed 1,459 executive documents with a total amount of 1.7 billion tenge. Of these, 1,049 documents worth 1.4 billion tenge have been completed, which is 71.4% of the total number of productions.
In 11 months of 2024, out of 1,017 enforcement proceedings, 618 cases worth 8 billion tenge were completed, 446 documents worth 4 billion tenge were actually recovered, 26 cases worth 2 billion tenge were returned and 10% of the enforcement sanction was collected within 18 cases worth 119 million tenge. 95 documents worth 163 billion tenge were also transferred for further execution in other jurisdictions.
At the same time, the department is engaged in the protection of intellectual property and helps national brands develop.
"As part of the promotion of unique Kazakhstani goods to the world market, the Department has sent seven applications for registration of geographical indications. The interest in geographical indications is related to their ability to emphasize the connection of a product with its territorial origin," the speaker explained.
110 events have also been organized to interact with businesses and the public, including seminars, round tables and lectures. Special attention is paid to working with marketplaces. Meetings were held at which measures to counter the spread of counterfeit goods were discussed.
