On December 6, the municipal services of the capital took out more than 7 thousand cubic meters of snow from the city, the official website of the Mayor's Office of Astana reports.
During the night shift from December 6-7, more than 200 road workers and more than 700 units of special equipment came out to clean snow and ice from the streets of the city.
During the day of December 6, more than 7 thousand cubic meters of snow were transported to snow ranges by 598 flights of heavy trucks.
In total, about 853 thousand cubic meters of snow have been exported from the city by 66,822 flights since the beginning of the winter period.
According to the rules, first of all, areas with very heavy traffic are cleared in the city so that there is no congestion on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity are removed from snow — squares, station areas, sidewalks, access roads to social facilities, etc.
The priority is cleaning on central streets, on passenger transport routes, bus stops and sidewalks.
There are several equipped snow ranges in the capital. They are equipped with a system for reading license plates of dump trucks, video surveillance cameras are installed here, lighting is connected.
We ask residents and guests of the capital to be careful on the roads, observe safety rules, and refrain from long-distance trips in case of a storm warning.
