Volunteers from among the students of the Vocational College of Astana took part in the traditional campaign "Marathon of Good Deeds", helping people in need to clear the surrounding area of snow, the official website of the Mayor's Office of Astana reports.
During the winter season, snow removal campaigns are held in all districts of the capital in the courtyards of private houses of elderly and large mothers living alone.
With the support of volunteers, one of these actions was organized in the house of a resident of the Urker residential area in the Nura district, who brings up 9 children. Volunteers cleared the yard of snow and helped unload coal.
The volunteers noted that taking care of those who need help is a shared responsibility, and every citizen can contribute.
By the way, Astana Zhastary activists also help public utilities workers who clean the city of snow for days on end. For their important work for the capital, volunteers are constantly holding actions to distribute hot tea and bauyrsaks in order to support and express gratitude for their work.
