The capital's volunteers painted walls with advertisements for the sale of drugs and distributed pamphlets to citizens, which talked about the dangers of narcotic drugs, the official website of the akimat reports.
The action within the framework of the project "Astana – a city without drugs" was organized in the Almaty district of the city.
The purpose of the event is to clarify the harm caused by narcotic substances to human life, avoid negative habits, and focus on a healthy lifestyle.
This event also drew the attention of the population to the importance of careful attitude to urban property. Advertising of prohibited items, in addition to threatening the lives of young people, spoils the beautiful view of the city.
"We are conducting a large-scale campaign aimed at combating the spread of narcotic drugs. The event is aimed at forming a conscious attitude to life among the younger generation. Also, during the action, pamphlets on the dangers of narcotic drugs were distributed to citizens," Police Major Zhanibek Isayev said.
The action was attended by volunteers from the Akimat of the Almaty district, the local police service department, the city crime control department and volunteers from the Astana Zhastary Youth Resource Center.
It should be noted that such an action is held in all districts of the capital.
