The Social Wallet project is being launched in the city of Shymkent and the West Kazakhstan region in a pilot mode for the proactive application of discounts in payment for commercial gas for recipients of targeted social and housing assistance.
This project is aimed at broader coverage and automation of the provision of discounts in payment for commercial gas to recipients of targeted social and housing assistance.
According to the "Social Wallet" algorithm, citizens receiving targeted social and housing assistance through a single number 1414 will receive an SMS notification about the need to install the eGov-mobile application, which will reflect the "Social Wallet" service.
In this service, the above-mentioned citizens will be able to activate a voucher for commercial gas to the personal account of the subscriber of JSC "QazaqGaz Aimaq".
The amount of the voucher will be determined based on the volume of gas consumption for the current month.
The Ministry of Energy, together with the Ministries of National Economy, Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, Labor and Social Protection of the population, in coordination with the Akimats of Shymkent city and West Kazakhstan region, has prepared a draft joint order
"On the launch of a pilot project for the provision of the service "Provision of vouchers for commercial gas to recipients of state targeted social assistance."
The pilot project will last 6 months and based on the results, a decision will be made to scale the project to the whole of Kazakhstan.
The draft order is posted on the Open NPAs portal.
