Astana, October 31, 2024 – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Bakayev held a meeting with the Chairman of the Delegation of the European Parliament for Relations with Central Asia and Mongolia Giuseppina Princi.
Noting the high dynamics of political contacts, as well as the productive work of the Parliamentary Cooperation Committee "Republic of Kazakhstan – European Union", the parties expressed their mutual desire to further strengthen the Kazakh-European partnership.
The Deputy Minister stressed the importance of increasing cooperation on issues of mutual interest, including in the field of green energy, rare earth minerals and transport connectivity.
The parties paid special attention to the issue of simplification of EU visa requirements for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In addition, during the conversation, representatives of the Ministries of Justice, Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan told the European deputies about the measures taken by the Government of Kazakhstan in the field of human rights protection and ensuring the rule of law.
At the end of the meeting, A. Bakayev wished the delegation of the European Parliament a productive visit and expressed hope that practical results would be achieved as soon as possible.
