The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in accordance with subparagraph 6) of paragraph 2 of the Protocol of the Meeting on the oil and gas industry under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 14, 2024, developed a Regulatory Policy Advisory Document (CDRP) to the draft Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Petrochemical Industry" and to the draft Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments and amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the development of the petrochemical industry."
The purpose of the adoption of this law is to resolve issues related to the provision of raw materials to the industry, as well as to stimulate investment and provide state support to the petrochemical industry. The adoption of this law will be an important step towards the development of the petrochemical industry and ensuring sustainable economic growth in Kazakhstan.
We note that the KDRP was developed with the participation of the Kazakhstan Association of Organizations of the Oil and Gas and Energy Complex KazEnergy and the Association of Producers and Consumers of Petrochemical Products (Petrochemical Association).
The Ministry invites all interested parties to participate in the discussion of the project. The KDRP is posted on the Internet portal "Open NPAs".
