The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in accordance with paragraph 70-2) of Article 5 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Electric Power Industry", approves the maximum tariffs for the service to maintain the availability of electric power.
In accordance with paragraph 15 of the Rules for Approving the marginal tariff for Electric energy and the marginal tariff for the service for maintaining the availability of electric power, the marginal tariff for the service for maintaining the availability of electric power is calculated using the formula taking into account the indexation coefficient, taking into account annual inflation levels.
Thus, when adjusting the marginal tariffs for the service of maintaining the availability of electric power in 2023, the projected inflation rate for 2023 was set at 14%, according to the forecast data of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the statistical data of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the actual inflation rate in Kazakhstan by the end of 2023 was 9.8%.
Based on the above, in order to determine the maximum tariff for the service for maintaining the availability of electric power in accordance with the Law, the maximum tariff for the service for maintaining the availability of electric power has been adjusted downward for 2025 from 1,215 thousand tenge/MW*month up to 1,169 thousand tenge/MW*month.
