The road to the remote village of Kopbirlik has been repaired in the Zhetisu region. The results of the work done were inspected today by akim of the region Beibit Isabayev during a working trip to the Karatal district, having traveled all sections of the Ushtobe – Almaly – Kopbirlik road covered by repairs, the press service of the akim of the Zhetisu region reports.
The total length of the Ushtobe – Almaly – Kopbirlik road is 176 km, repairs were carried out on the order of 137 km, of which 78.5 km – this year. The rest of the road is in good and satisfactory condition.
In particular, from the village of Kopbirlik to the village of Almaly in 2021, an average repair of a section of this road with a length of 28 km was carried out. The rest of the road construction was divided into four sections.
- Last year, a section from 5 km to 35 km with a total length of 30 km was repaired. As of today, asphalt laying works have also been completed on 90-147 km of the highway, where 40 km of the site was repaired. Landscaping is underway at this stage. In particular, the strengthening of the curb, the installation of signs. This section will be introduced by November 10. Repair work has been completed on both the second and third sections of the highway. These facilities have been put into operation. Thus, asphalt has been laid on all the specified sections of the Ushtobe–Almaly –Kopbirlik road. The total cost of the project is over 4.9 billion tenge. The road of the III category, the width of the carriageway is 7 meters," head of the regional department of passenger transport and highways Galymzhan Daribayev reported to the head of the region.
After listening to the speaker, Beibit Isabayev, noting the quality of the repair, expressed gratitude to the contractor for the timely completion of an important facility.
- At one of the meetings with the population, local residents raised the problem of the condition of the road to the village of Kopbirlik. In this regard, we have taken measures to bring the road into line. As of today, the repair is fully completed. Considering that heavy freight transport does not travel so much in this direction, the road will serve for about 10 years, it is made qualitatively. Kopbirlik is one of the most remote villages in the region. First, they made a road, solved the problem with the quality of drinking water. In general, there are concrete plans for the further development of remote and border villages," the head of the region noted.
Local residents also shared their opinion.
- I am from the village of Baishegir myself. The road has not been properly repaired for almost 30 years. Now the residents of Kopbirlik are here, and we are very happy. The repair was really carried out very efficiently. And it has become convenient for us motorists in general. Now, in 1.5 hours, we slowly get to our district center – the city of Ushtobe," said local resident Tutintai Musapirov.
By the way, next year the reconstruction of the bridge near the village of Almaly on 145 km of the Ushtobe – Almaly – Kopbirlik road will be carried out.
In general, by the end of the year, the level of roads of regional significance in good and satisfactory condition in the Zhetisu region will be 94%.
