The 5th European Union – Central Asia Civil Society Forum is being held in Almaty.
The three-day event focuses on issues such as digital transformation, climate change, youth activism, and women's rights and empowerment.
The forum is being attended by more than 150 people, including representatives of civil society institutions and governments of Central Asian countries, as well as international organizations.
The opening of the forum was attended by Aizada Kurmanova, Vice Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan. She informed the participants about the role of civil society in the country's development and the state's work to support the non-governmental sector.
Over the next two days, group discussions and special seminars will be held as part of the event. Through these discussions, participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and actively participate in solving important problems in the region.
