Kazakh Foreign Minister receives head of Polish diplomatic mission
09.02.2025 13:28:21 649Astana, January 31, 2025 – Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtileu received the Charge d'Affaires of Poland in Kazakhstan Michal Labenda.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the state and prospects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Poland, as well as the schedule of high-level and high-level bilateral events planned for the current year.
M. Nurtileu congratulated the Polish diplomat on the Polish presidency of the Council of the European Union and wished him success in implementing the initiatives proposed during this presidency. He also confirmed Kazakhstan's commitment to further deepening comprehensive and multifaceted cooperation between the two states.
In turn, M. Labenda noted the high pace of interaction and expressed his readiness to continue active work aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in all areas, paying special attention to expanding cultural ties.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue contacts on topical issues of bilateral cooperation.
In January-November 2024, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Poland amounted to 1.04 billion US dollars, reaching 1.23 billion dollars in 2023. Since 2005, foreign direct investment attracted from Poland to Kazakhstan amounted to 447.8 million dollars. About 140 companies with Polish capital operate in Kazakhstan.
