The weekly agricultural fair was held today at the Severny trade and logistics center in Semey. This time, farmers from the Aksuat district sold their products at the fair.
The head of the Aksuat district's agriculture, land relations and entrepreneurship department, Serik Akhmetov, said that farmers from 9 rural districts participated in the fair and sold their products without any intermediaries.
"Our farmers are bringing 1.4 tons of beef, 100 kilograms of mutton, and 250 kilograms of horse meat for the residents of the region. Since our district specializes in agriculture, we also put on the shelves 50 liters of natural milk, 20 kilograms of ghee, 50 kilograms of butter, 120 kilograms of sausages and minced meat products. "The prices are also affordable," the head of the department said.
Deputy Akim of the region Kuanysh Suleimenov, who visited the fair, noted that all these measures are being taken to maintain food prices.
The residents of Aksuat also brought their artists to the fair. Singers from the District House of Culture sang on a small stage, cheering up the residents of Semey. Baursak was even baked in the field and distributed with hot tea.
