DUSHANBE
As a result of agreements with Central Asian countries, Kazakhstan will receive 11 billion cubic meters of water this spring
This was agreed upon by the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov at the 88th meeting of the Central Interstate Coordination Commission for Water Resources Management in Dushanbe.
A reservoir in the Turkestan region, which flows through the Syrdarya River. 1.6 billion cubic meters of it will be sent to the Aral Sea.

ASTANA
Nurzhan Nurzhigitov met with Shimon Ben Hamo, Chairman of the Board of the Israeli investment company Dan Capital. The parties discussed the implementation of joint projects for the construction and reconstruction of hydraulic structures in Kazakhstan. To date, Israeli engineers have inspected 4 reservoirs and made recommendations for their restoration.

KYZYLORDA REGION
The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation has completed the reconstruction project of the Kyzylorda hydroelectric complex, which was shut down 5 years ago. To ensure the high-quality operation of the facility, damaged parts of the hydroelectric unit were repaired and other defects were eliminated.
IMPORTANT: The hydroelectric unit plans to complete the development of an irrigation water resources information system by the end of the year, which will be designed to irrigate about 120 thousand hectares of land on the left and right banks of the Syrdarya River and hydrate about 2 million hectares of semi-desert lands. 17,736 rivers and 2,949 small lakes in Kazakhstan, the borders of the Caspian and Aral Seas, 8 water management basins and 77 water management areas, 377 main canals, 56 ponds, 297 reservoirs and 548 dams will be digitized and entered into the system.
