Strengthening the relationship between the university and the media: the republican seminar-training "UniMediaX25" was held
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University organized a two-day republican seminar-training "UniMediaX25" for press secretaries in the field of science and higher education. The main goal of this event is to teach representatives of the press service in the field of science and education modern methods and approaches in the field of media and communication, exchange experience and improve their professional skills.
At the official opening of the event, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek delivered a welcoming speech, noting that this gathering is an important platform aimed at improving the professional level of press secretaries and expanding opportunities for exchanging experience. According to the Minister, press secretaries make a great contribution to strengthening relations between society and the authorities and conveying important reforms in the field of science and education to the people in a correct and understandable manner.
“The work of press secretaries contributes to increasing the transparency of state policy and strengthening trust between society and the state,” said S. Nurbek.
The Minister also told the seminar participants about the work of the department, the achievements of the country in the field of higher education and science, future plans and prospects.
The event was addressed by Kainar Akhetov, Director of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Mass Media of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as Yrysbek Mauit, founder of the network of intellectual development centers and schools “ZERDELI”.
The seminar was attended by press officers from 35 universities and research institutes.
Assel Serikpaeva, an experienced specialist in the field of PR and communications, held a master class on the topic “A Successful Step into the Media: Effective Use of Media Opportunities”. In addition, the director of "Asker Media" LLP, Damir Aspan, shared PR secrets in the field of effective communication with journalists in extreme conditions.
The first day of the seminar-training concluded with a theatrical performance by the Eurasian National University.
On the second day of the event, employees of the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan conducted training seminars on the topic of personality in the field of PR and methods of working with the audience, creating high-quality media content, delivering news in the field of science and higher education to the public, coordinating access to information, and working with the official website. Deputy Chairmen of the Committee on Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akerke Abylaikhan and Zhanna Yesinbayeva, touched upon innovations and changes in the field of higher education.
During the training, participants exchanged views and participated in interactive sessions. They also visited the student house of the largest Eurasian National University, the Coventry University campus, and Maqsut Narikbayev University. At the end of the event, a certificate presentation ceremony was held.
This event is an important initiative aimed at improving media and communication relations in the field of science and education in Kazakhstan, as well as improving the skills of specialists in this field.
