Last year, Turkestan region took first place in the republic in terms of stabilizing prices for socially significant food products. By stabilizing prices for socially significant food products, the inflation rate in the region is maintained at a low level. According to the results of last year, the inflation rate was 7.5%. This was discussed at the meeting of the apparatus, and the akim of Turkestan region instructed those responsible to intensify the work.
- Keep an eye on the stock of socially significant food products. Measures related to price stabilization should be carried out systematically, qualitatively and consistently. The timely delivery of food to social stores in the region should be monitored, and fairs should be held regularly, - said Nuralkhan Kusherov.
According to Nurzhigit Myrzakhmetov, the head of the regional department of entrepreneurship and industry, the Commission for the Investigation of Intermediary Schemes reviewed 281 facts and sent them to the relevant bodies for the imposition of administrative fines. Since the beginning of the year, 7 facts of potato trade surplus have been identified and administrative protocols have been filled out.
In general, taking into account the "Circulation Scheme", forward contracts, and stocks in warehouses, there are 32 thousand tons of food in the stabilization fund. In the off-season period, if price instability is recorded, the accumulated stock will be enough to stabilize prices for up to 6 months.
In order to stabilize prices for vegetable products in the off-season period, preliminary forward agreements have been concluded with commodity producers. Of these, the city's 3-month need for potatoes is 3,992 tons, while the forward agreement is 4,309 tons (100 tenge), and the supply is 108%. Work is ongoing to release vegetable stocks to the market to stabilize prices in the region. Since December 10, 960 tons of potatoes, 219 tons of cabbage, 250 tons of onions, 318 tons of carrots have been put on the market.
There are 36 social shops operating in the cities of Turkestan, Kentau and Arys. In addition, the placement of 2 social shops in all district and city centers is being worked out. In general, food products in social shops and social corners are sold on average 20-30% below market prices. Since the beginning of the year, 17 fairs have been held for residents of Turkestan.
According to Alibek Plalov, acting head of the regional agricultural department, this year the area of ​​agricultural crops has increased by 37 thousand hectares compared to last year, and it is planned to be placed on 896 thousand hectares. It is planned to plant early-ripening crops (potatoes, onions, carrots, cabbage), which are included in the list of socially important food products, on 31.5 thousand hectares, and harvest 736 thousand tons of products from them.
