In September-October 2024, the volume of grain movement in the domestic market and for export reached a good level. More than 2.2 million tons of grain were processed, which is 40% higher than in the same period last year. Barley exports are developing especially rapidly, reaching 150 thousand tons to the Iranian market alone.
After the end of the harvesting campaign and clarification of the volume of the final harvest, there is a significant revival in the grain market.
Promotion of Kazakhstan's agricultural products on international markets is one of the priorities of JSC NC "Food Contract Corporation".
In this direction, work is underway to intensify cooperation with foreign investors and search for promising markets. Thus, the Food Contract Corporation has stepped up its work to expand the geography of exports of Kazakhstani products, going beyond the traditional market.
In addition, the export shipment consolidation program is the main link in this. The program provides for free export, uniting a batch of farmers without the purchase of grain from farmers, without full transport support. Currency income goes directly to the peasant.
To date, with the participation of the Food Contract Corporation, importers from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and China have signed export contracts for the supply of agricultural products from Kazakhstani farmers for a total amount of 19.5 million US dollars.
It is planned to expand the positive experience of concluding a pilot contract.
In this regard, the state provides comprehensive assistance to export operations of agricultural producers.
