Tungsten production launched for the first time in the history of Kazakhstan

On November 1, 2024, the opening of the first tungsten processing plant in Kazakhstan took place in the Almaty region. This is a historical event for the domestic mining industry, which strengthens the country's position in the World rare metals market.
The project cost is долларды 300 million and was implemented taking into account international environmental and production standards. The plant will provide up to 1,000 jobs for local specialists, and when it reaches its design capacity, it will process 3.3 million tons of raw materials per year and produce 65% of tungsten concentrate.
At the time of opening, the preparation of the main objects was as follows:
* Sludge storage facilities-60%
* Mining and processing plant-60%
* External water intake facilities-85%
* External power supply-100% (connected to the 110 kV network)
* Internal power supply-90%
The project is managed by Aral Kegen LLP, an International Holding Company Jiaxin International Resources Investment Ltd. it includes Jiangxi Copper Corporation, China Railway Construction Company, China Civil Engineering Construction Company and ever Trillion International Singapore Pte LTD.
Upcoming plans include the construction of a deep Recycling complex to bring the tungsten content to 88.5% and produce high purity tungsten carbide. The volume of investments for this period will be 150 million dollars.
The opening of the plant marks a new stage in the development of the mining industry of Kazakhstan and reflects the country's desire for efficient and rational use of Natural Resources.
