Akim of the region Abai Nurlan Urankhaev met with residents of the Vodny settlement. During the meeting, issues related to the development of the village, including public utilities, education, healthcare and onomastics, were discussed.
At the moment, more than 4 thousand people live in the village in 1,550 private houses. Previously, there was no centralized water supply in the village. At last year's meeting of the mayor with the residents, this issue was raised, and the head of the region gave appropriate instructions to the responsible authorities. Based on these instructions, the project "Construction of water supply networks in Voskhod and Vodny settlements of Semey" was developed. Construction began in August 2023 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year. The contractor is AKM Invest Group LLP.
The contractor laid 39 km of water supply networks, installed 23 fire hydrants and brought the water supply to the borders of each house. 576 wells were installed. In addition, an additional 70 houses in the village are currently connected to the water supply network.Sunrise and 50 houses in the villageVodny, Secondary school No. 34 and NEA village.Sunrise brought water supply networks not included in the project. In the Vodny settlement, construction and installation work has been completed completely. The water supply networks have been flushed and disinfected. Currently, similar work is underway on the water supply networks of the Voskhod settlement.
"Topical issues of all districts of the city are important to us. It is impossible to solve them fundamentally and in a short time. Nevertheless, we are gradually coping with each of them. I am aware of the issues you have raised. The problem with centralized water supply, which has remained unresolved for many years, will be solved in the near future. Works on public transport, lighting, and road repairs are also not ignored. We will continue to implement the planned activities in stages," the governor of the region said.
The installation of 70 poles and lanterns has been completed in the village of Voskhod. In particular, lighting was installed on Rudnaya, Almaznaya, Novaya streets, as well as along the Ozerskaya highway from the school to the pedestrian crossing, from the crossing to the final stop.
It is planned to install 75 poles with lamps in the Vodny settlement, the work is expected to be completed by December 20.
In addition, 164 lamps were replaced on Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semipalatinsk and Republican streets. In 2025, it is planned to replace the supports and the power supply cable leading to the houses in the Vodny suburban area.
There are 24 streets in Vodny and Voskhod settlements. In 2024, work was carried out on the streets of Semipalatinsk and Geodesic on profiling roads with the addition of crushed stone and sand-gravel mixtures, the total length of which was 2.2 km. In 2025, asphalting of the roadway is planned on these streets of the village. Asphalting is also planned along Predgornaya Street, the length of which is 1.6 km. At the moment, the project is undergoing departmental expertise to carry out medium road repairs. After receiving the conclusion, competitive public procurement procedures will be conducted to determine the contractor.
Grading works with the addition of inert material on at least four streets are planned in 2025. Also, at the request of the residents of the village, in 2025, work will be carried out on the arrangement of sidewalks on the site from the terminus to school No. 34.
In addition, according to the residents of the village, 12 old bus pavilions were replaced with new closed-type pavilions.
