The International Investment Forum "TURKISTAN INVESTMENT and TOURISM FORUM – 2024" is being held in Turkestan. Panel sessions on industry topics were organized at the important event. Business travelers and leaders of the PRC and the country who participated in the forum took part in the sessions and shared their experience in the field of interest. They exchanged views and made suggestions.
At the panel session on the topic" digital transformations", the participants shared their thoughts on the digital development of the Turkestan region. The meeting was chaired by Aziza Shuzheeva, chairman of the board of the non-profit organization "Techno Woman".
Head of the Office of the Akim of Turkestan region Yerkegali Alimkulov thanked the forum participants and presented the investment opportunities of the region. He expressed confidence that new ideas and initiatives will make a significant contribution to the formation of Turkestan as an innovatively developed city. He called for the implementation of joint projects at investment platforms for the development of digitalization in the region.
During the session, Timon Ma, deputy director of Hikvision, Almas Kumbasov, head of the Safe City direction of Hikvision, Danxia Xu, Chairman of the Board of Intelligent flight technology, Tsai Tunsin, Chairman of the Board of Hainan business, Nadir Kurumbayev, deputy chairman of the Public Services Committee of the Ministry of digital development, innovation and aerospace industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, danabek Kaliazhdarov, advisor to the general director of Astana Hub, said that the school 21 in the Republic of Uzbekistan general director Zarina Lukhmanova, Managing Director of alaqan Technologies Aslan tulegenov shared their experience. Head of the Regional Department of digitalization, public services and archives Marat Ainabekov spoke about the effectiveness of the Alaqan project launched in the region. Representatives of business and local executive authorities of the two countries discussed promising projects that will give impetus to strengthening bilateral relations.
In his address to the people, the head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to pay special attention to the issues of digitalization and the introduction of innovations in the country. He noted the importance of the strategic task of transforming Kazakhstan into an IT country by training qualified specialists in the field of IT. In this direction, intensive work is being carried out in the Turkestan region, new initiatives are being taken.
Due to its dense population, the region has a huge human resources potential. The Center "Turkistan IT hub" was opened in Turkestan. This is an open platform where conditions have been created for the cooperation of entrepreneurs, young professionals and investors in the field of IT. Here there is a full opportunity to develop startups, implement ideas.
In addition, a branch of the Korean university "Wusong" will be opened in Turkestan. Wusong University will not only bring new educational standards, but will also become the beginning of the creation of innovative projects that will contribute to the development of the region's economy.
In addition, governor of Turkestan region Darkhan Satybaldy held talks with representatives of Chinese IT companies on the opening of a technology park. As a result of the negotiations, the technological park, the construction of which is planned, will become one of the strategically important projects for the economic and industrial development of the region. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to create places for repair and maintenance of electronics, computer equipment, electrical equipment, optical cables, household appliances and electric vehicles, as well as charging stations for electric vehicles.
