This year, major repairs are being carried out in 280 schools of the country. Since the beginning of the school year, about 181 thousand Kazakhstani students have sat at desks in updated schools.

During the repair work of the school building, the roofs were replaced, the facades of buildings and windows were updated, as well as internal engineering communications, water supply, sewerage, heating systems and electrical networks were repaired. Particular attention was paid to the seismic strengthening of schools in regions with high seismic activity.

We will remind, earlier the ministry has repeatedly monitored the repaired schools to prevent violations of the educational process and its safe organization.

Today, in addition to major repairs, 1000 schools are being modernized in small towns, district centers and villages in seven areas that meet modern standards. Modernization is aimed at reducing the gap in the quality of education between urban and rural schools by creating favorable conditions for the education and upbringing of children, strengthening material and technical equipment and improving the quality of the educational process. As part of this work, major repairs, equipment of subject rooms, updating of school furniture, improvement of libraries, canteens and security conditions are being carried out. To date, modernization of 780 rural schools has been completed.

In addition, this year 1383 modern subject rooms were purchased, of which 843 were installed.
