As part of the scientists of the National Center for complex processing of mineral raw materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan (National Center for integrated processing of mineral raw materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan), the Chief Scientific Secretary, Professor Svetlana Efremova, director of the capital branch, professor Baimakhan Satbayev and Deputy Director of the capital branch, PhD student of Karaganda industrial University Nurgali Shalabayev took part in the summit SIPS2024 "sustainability through science and technology" (Sustainable Industrial Processing Summit). The event, which has been held annually since 2003, was also held this year in Greece, Crete. The uniqueness of the organization is that the Summit brings together scientists and specialists from different parts of the earth. It is attended by young figures from various fields of Science and production, starting with Nobel laureates. However, all participants are chained in one chain – to contribute to ensuring the sustainable development of their country and the planet as a whole.
The main idea of the summit is to achieve a uniform sustainable development of three components: ecology, social and economy. This can only be achieved through the interaction of three tandems: science and business, Public Administration and leadership, education and civil society.
From this point of view, the activities of the National Center for complex processing of mineral raw materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan fully respond to the conversation of SIPS. This is probably why the organizing committee of the summit, which took place in different years, at different levels, included four employees of the National Research and development center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, headed by the general director, academician Abdrasil Zharmenov.
Kazakh scientists spoke about the production of refractory substances. The developed technology for obtaining high-temperature materials based on organic-mineral secondary raw materials: environmental protection through the disposal of metallurgical and agro-industrial complex waste, economic growth due to the production of high-demand materials and contributes to the social development of the country due to tax deductions to the budget. During the ten-year period of its activity, 7 billion US dollars were spent on the commercialization of scientific developments of the capital branch of the RSE "National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan". more than 15 thousand tons of refractory materials worth more than tenge were produced and delivered to metallurgical enterprises of Kazakhstan. At the same time, the budget received about 1 billion US dollars as taxes. he took the tenge. Kazakhstan's fire resistance will undoubtedly make a significant contribution to the process of ensuring sustainable development.
