Almaty and Shanghai signed letter on establishment of fraternal relations

Following the results of intergovernmental negotiations held in Shanghai (China), a letter of intent was signed aimed at establishing fraternal relations between Almaty and Shanghai. This agreement marks a new stage in the development of friendly ties and cooperation between the two largest megacities with rich cultural traditions and significant economic potential.
The letter of intent was signed by Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the people's Republic of China Shahrat Nuryshev and Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng.
The document defines the main areas of joint activity, including Economy, Trade, Science and technology, education, culture, health care and tourism. The parties intend to carry out Exchange and cooperation in these areas, guided by the principles of equality and mutual benefit. In particular, it is planned to hold exhibitions, seminars, cultural and scientific events.
The establishment of fraternal relations between Almaty and Shanghai opens up new horizons for joint development in various fields, allows you to exchange best and best practices, as well as promote mutual investment and cultural exchange.
