Invataxi services have become more accessible in Karaganda region. Citizens with special features can access all city districts of the region at any time.
- Invataxi service operates in all regions of the region. 15 service centers with 120 cars were opened. Invataxi services are used by 2218 people. In addition, Invataxi is also available for children with autism spectrum disorders and diagnosed with cerebral palsy, — said Asem Zhunusbekova, head of the Department of employment and social programs of Karaganda region, at a staff meeting in the regional akimat.
Also, when visiting the sanatorium, the costs of the nanny responsible for the movement of people with disabilities are fully reimbursed. Therefore, the number of people with disabilities of Group I, who receive treatment in sanatoriums, has increased in the region.
There is a wheelchair repair service center in Karaganda. Here it is not limited to repairs. The carts will be cleaned. In addition, assistance is provided in selecting according to individual parameters. While the cart is being repaired, another temporary one is given in its place. 4 people with disabilities are employed here on a permanent basis.
The main focus is on creating an affordable social and transport infrastructure for people with disabilities.
For this purpose, the facilities of social and cultural services are being adapted for citizens with disabilities. Today, an interactive map of accessibility is being completed. According to current data, an inclusive environment has been created in Karaganda region at 970 facilities. Citizens who have visited the site can leave their comments to improve the card.
Commissions have been established in the region to make new buildings accessible to people with disabilities. They participate in the Coordination of acts of commissioning of the facility. There are also mobile teams that inspect the facilities and provide recommendations to building owners.
It is important to provide people with disabilities with the necessary special equipment and timely conduct rehabilitation treatment courses, governor of Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev said.
"Invataxi should be continuous. The project "wheelchair repair" is in great demand. In order for every person with disabilities to be able to use it, more information should be said about it. With the help of an interactive access card, people with disabilities have the opportunity to get acquainted with the necessary information. This work must be continued. Each owner of the building must bring the object in accordance with the established norm. This makes life easier for special citizens. I ask the mayors of cities and districts to create a barrier – free environment for people with disabilities and pay special attention to rehabilitation measures, - said the governor of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev.
