It is now possible to cross the border with China on foot through the Bakhta border post in our region. This will not only strengthen ties between the two countries and create convenient conditions for travelers, but also open up new opportunities to increase trade turnover.
The opening ceremony was attended by Akim of the Makanshi district Dauren Koigeldin, Head of the State Revenue Department for the Abai region Ruslan Daniyarov, Head of the Department of the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Abai region Colonel Askhat Akhmetov. On the Chinese side, the event was attended by official representatives of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Until the completion of work on the modernization of terminals at the Bakhta post, tourists will cross the border in accordance with the established procedure in accordance with current legislation.
Passengers are also allowed to carry up to 25 kg of cargo once a month. It should be noted that it is possible to cross the border only in vehicles that have a special permit for international passenger transportation.
