The relationship between science and production
Vice-minister of Science and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki, Deputy Chairman of the Science Committee Ayan Ramadan, chairman of the Board of the Science Foundation Kamil Akatov and a delegation of scientists from Kazakhstan universities and research institutes visited the production facilities of the KAZ Minerals Group and met with CEO of KAZ Minerals Bozshakol LLP Jamie Karatti.
The parties discussed the possibilities of integrating scientific research, the urgent needs of production and ways to solve them with the help of advanced scientific achievements. During the visit, an ore mining quarry, a primary crushing site, a sulfide ore processing plant and a tailings warehouse were examined.
The meeting was organized on behalf of the prime minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov. Its goal is to develop new mechanisms for the formation of priority areas for the development of scientific and technical activities, to address the demands and needs of the real economy, and to improve cooperation between science and business.
As a continuation of the meeting, a scientific and technological Hackathon will be held in Astana on November 5-6 this year. Leading scientists of the country take part in it and are engaged in solving specific production problems of the company. The hackathon will become a platform for ideas and solutions to meet the needs of Science and industry, as well as give a new direction to the development of Science and industry in Kazakhstan.
