Since the beginning of the year, according to the results of inspections conducted by the Internal Audit Department of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, 29 persons have been brought to administrative responsibility.
This work is carried out to combat the "shadow" water market and illegal activities in the water sector, as well as to ensure order and transparency. It should be noted that on behalf of the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov, the Internal Audit Department conducted an audit of 11 institutions in 9 months.
Thus, during the inspection of the Kazvodkhoz branch in the Zhambyl region, about 10 facts of illegal use of water and violations in concluding contracts with farmers for the supply of irrigation water were revealed. As a result of the audit, the director of the branch and the head of the Asa production site were relieved of their posts. And the deputy director of the branch and the heads of the Kordai, Baizak and Merken production sites were brought to disciplinary responsibility in the form of a strict reprimand.
"Materials on all violations identified as a result of the audit have been sent to the Prosecutor General's Office. Recommendations and instructions were also given to the structural divisions and departments of the Ministry," said Galymzhan Moldash, Director of the Internal Audit Department.
