On December 6, 2024, on the stage of the State Academic Kazakh Musical and Drama Theater named after K. Kuanyshbayev, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the XX anniversary Republican contest "Shapagat-2024" took place.
The event brought together the country's leading inventors, scientists and innovators, as well as representatives of business and government agencies.
The competition was organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Institute of Intellectual Property (Qazpatent).
The winners were awarded a statuette "Shapagat", a cash prize of 1 million tenge and honorary diplomas. The holder of the title "Honored Inventor of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was awarded a Medal as the highest symbol of recognition of outstanding achievements in the field of inventive activity.
The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, speaking at the award ceremony, stressed: "The anniversary Shapagat competition emphasizes the importance of invention for the development of the economy and the innovative potential of our country. The support of science and technology is the key to the sustainable development of Kazakhstan. We are proud of our inventors, whose innovations strengthen the country's position on the global stage.
The ceremony was opened by a unique exhibition of archival photographs and video materials that captured the key moments of awarding the winners of the Shapagat competition throughout its history. The exposition clearly demonstrated the contribution of Kazakhstani inventors to the development of strategically important industries such as energy, medicine, the agricultural sector and IT technologies, emphasizing the importance of innovation for the progress of the country.
The results of the Shapagat competition have once again confirmed the high level of professionalism, creativity and scientific viability of domestic inventors. Every year, the winners receive not only well—deserved recognition at the national level, but also a unique opportunity to present their projects on the international stage - at leading innovation forums and exhibitions.
