At the beginning of this year, in the city of Taldykorgan, Zhetisu region, in order to provide high-quality services to citizens of retirement age, an Active Longevity Center was opened, which is now visited by more than 250 people a day. 12 types of services are provided here, about 40 people are employed, - the press service of the akim of the Zhetisu region reports.
As the head of the regional department for the coordination of employment and social programs Yermek Mizambayev noted, about 25 thousand pensioners live in only one regional center, therefore, on behalf of the akim of the region, it was decided to create the KSU "Center for Labor Resources and Active Longevity".
- The main goal of our center is the socialization of people of retirement age into an active cultural, creative, sports and business life to increase the duration of their physical and mental health. To date, the Active Longevity Center is visited daily by more than 250 elderly people. In addition, since the beginning of the year, we have organized more than 50 different events with the participation of visitors to the center, as well as excursions to the sacred and historical sites of Aksu, Kerbulak, Karatal districts and a trip to Semey, Abai region. I would like to add that anyone who wants to live in Taldykorgan of retirement age can become a visitor to our center, where all services are provided free of charge. It is only necessary to provide an identity card and a pensioner's certificate," said Asset Orazbekuly, head of the KSU Center for Human Resources and Active Longevity.
The visitors of the new center are quite satisfied with the created conditions. The service recipient of the center, Saira Akhmetova, shared her impressions:
- I have been visiting the Active Longevity Center since its opening, that is, for almost a whole year now. I do fitness, yoga, dancing. I have completed a course of therapeutic massage. On the one hand, it is useful for health, and on the other hand, the circle of communication is expanding, this is also very good. Those who wish to study languages. Everyone will find a case of interest here. It is really a very good center. The doors are open from morning to evening. I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all those involved in its creation and work," the veteran noted.
By the way, next year it is planned to build a rehabilitation center for people with special needs for 150 places in Taldykorgan. In addition, the number of Invataxi services in the region has increased from 18 to 32 since last year.
