The country continues the Month of Fire Safety, which started on December 1 on behalf of the Minister of Emergency Situations, Major General Genghis Arinov. The main purpose of the event is to increase the level of safety of citizens.
In the first week of the preventive month, more than 2.5 thousand houses were covered by yard raids, during which about 3 thousand residents were provided with advisory assistance.
The basic fire safety measures in everyday life are explained to residents, furnaces and electrical systems are checked at their request, and in connection with the celebration of New Year's events, the safe use of pyrotechnic products is explained.
Special attention of rescuers is paid to the survey of households of socially vulnerable categories of citizens. The condition of heating stoves, chimneys, electrical wires and electrical equipment is assessed, as well as the availability and serviceability of fire sensors. In families with small children, questions are raised about the inadmissibility of leaving them unattended. Thematic campaign memos are handed out in each house.
Also, within the framework of the fire month, a set of measures is being carried out aimed at the safe passage of the upcoming holidays.
Fire-fighting and tactical exercises are conducted at facilities with a mass stay of people with the development of practical actions for the evacuation of citizens. The evacuation routes, the availability of primary fire extinguishing means, as well as the skills of the employees of the facilities in the event of a fire are checked.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations urges citizens to strictly comply with fire safety requirements:
- use only serviceable stoves and electrical appliances;
- do not allow over-heating of furnaces and overload of power grids;
- clean the chimney of soot in time;
- regularly inspect the oven and electrical appliances for malfunctions;
- Keep matches and incendiary devices out of the reach of children;
- do not leave children unattended;
