The Head of State held talks with the President of France in an expanded format

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was met by French President Emmanuel Macron at the central entrance of the Elysee Palace.
After taking photos together, the heads of state went to the hall for negotiations in an expanded format with the participation of members of official delegations.
The President thanked Emmanuel Macron for the warm welcome of the delegation of Kazakhstan.
– I attach exceptional importance to my visit, which marks a new milestone in the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and France. I am convinced that today's negotiations, as well as the Joint Statement we are adopting, will contribute to bringing relations between Kazakhstan and France to the level of a strengthened strategic partnership. I would like to take this opportunity to cordially congratulate you on the successful holding of the thirty-third Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris. They have become a truly grandiose event in the world of sports, their organization has impressed with its scale and high level of performance. I am sure that your country will also brilliantly host the upcoming twenty–sixth Winter Olympic Games in the French Alps in 2030," the Head of our State said.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that the agreements and agreements reached during the visit of President Emmanuel Macron to Astana last year contributed to the qualitative deepening of Kazakh-French relations.
– Today, an active and trusting political dialogue is maintained between our countries. Kazakhstan and France closely cooperate in the international arena, together they promote the ideas of peace and sustainable development within the framework of multilateral platforms. Your country is one of the largest trading partners and leading investors in the economy of Kazakhstan. More than 200 companies and joint ventures with the participation of French capital are successfully operating in our country today. We are grateful to the captains of French business for their commitment to doing business in Kazakhstan and fruitful cooperation," Kassym–Jomart Tokayev said.
The President of Kazakhstan stressed that cultural and humanitarian cooperation is steadily strengthening, especially in the fields of education, science, medicine and history. He also expressed gratitude for the organization of the National Exhibition of Kazakhstan in the legendary Museum of Asian Arts of Gime.
In conclusion, the Head of State expressed confidence that the results of the visit will contribute to the well-being and prosperity of the two countries.
In turn, the French President noted the importance of the negotiations, which will give an additional impetus to the Kazakh-French cooperation.
"Thanks to you, the partnership between our countries has significantly strengthened in recent years," Emmanuel Macron said, addressing Kassym–Jomart Tokayev.
During the talks, the heads of state discussed in detail the current state and prospects of cooperation in the fields of mechanical engineering, transport and logistics, agriculture, energy, industrial cooperation, climate, digital development and healthcare. Special attention was paid to strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties.
There was also an exchange of views on topical issues on the regional and international agenda.
