TURKESTAN: EXPERTS URGE TO OBSERVE SAFETY MEASURES DURING THE HEATING SEASON

The Department of State Fire Control of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Turkestan region has approved a plan for the 2024-2025 heating season. In this regard, the event "Fire Safety Month" was held from August 15 to September 15. The purpose of the event is to protect human life and health, property and the environment from fires before the start of the heating season, reduce the risks of fires in residential buildings and natural gas poisoning. This was announced at a briefing by the head of the Department's department, Mukhan Bayymbetov.
– Currently, 200 gas detectors have been installed in the residential buildings of low-income families. Since the beginning of the heating season this year, there have been no cases of carbon monoxide poisoning. However, over the past heating season, 7 cases of carbon monoxide poisoning were registered, as a result of which 5 people died. In addition, during the heating season of 2024-2025, 20 cases of fires have been registered in residential buildings so far. As a result, 2 people were injured, there were no fatalities," the speaker said.
